MANITOBA'S ADULT EAL LEARNING NETWORK

Products and Services

English Online School
English Online Inc. provides facilitated resources for self-directed language learners. Language learners complete modules, lessons and activities in our Online Learning Platform. Lesson content reflects the competency and language outcome standards of the Canadian Language Benchmark levels; online lessons and activities help learners identify and improve their language skills. Learners have access to eFacilitators who provide supports for language learning and encourage self-directed learning reflection in the online Electronic Collaborative Portfolio Assessment (eCLPA). Learn more about our English Online School (click to the English Online School).

Suite of Language Learning Courses
Teachers of Affiliate Organizations can use the Language Learning Courses to provide extra learning materials for their students, enhancing their classroom delivery.  Our current suite of modules is workplace themed for learners with Canadian Language Benchmarks from level 1-8. Activities and lessons can be used in the classroom to help students work together and promote language acquisition. Coming soon are courses for literacy learners. To learn more, click to the English Online Courses.

Online Learning Platform
English Online Inc. offers a technology platform capable of managing online self directed and instructor led models as well as tracking who uses the system. This Online Learning Platform is both an integrated component of English Online Inc’s core service offering and a distinct additional service that can be supplied to various partners.  An exciting new feature that was customized for the Manitoban delivery model is an Electronic Collaborative Language Portfolio Assessment.

Learning Support and Technical Support

Teachers of EAL and students of EAL using online resources whether provided as part of the English Online suite or not will require support in how to use the Online Learning Platform resources effectively. Many participants will also require technical support for English Online tools specifically. English Online will provide a support service to connect learners and teachers to the help they need to make the most of their technology and their online learning experience.

Teacher Network (Coming spring 2011)
English Online Inc. is developing a Teaching Network for EAL teachers to: share/exchange language learning resources (i.e. handouts, lesson plans, curriculum guidelines, etc.), provide feedback and adaptations on the shared resources and rate the resources and connect with peers in community discussion forums.

English Online Inc. would be happy to learn more about your learners and organizational needs.  Please contact:
